Limestone and granite are as different as chalk and cheese – same thing with slate and basalt or sandstone and travertine. Knowing the type of stone you have gives you the starting point to solving any problem.
Was the damage created by a chemical or is it an oil based stain? Maybe it’s a surface scratch or haziness caused by excess sunlight or perhaps it’s just a build up of excess cleaning materials .
Once we have identified your stone we are then in a position to determine what may have caused the damage and, more importantly, how to fix it. The solution may involve grinding, polishing, sealing or all of these.

Enhancing sealers are designed to do two things: seal + enhance the colour and natural beauty of the stone. Polished Bluestone and Tumbled Marble are stone types that can be dramatically improved with an enhancing sealer.
When treated with a surface sealer, old and worn slate can be brought back to its original beauty.
